ReplyDeleteI just want to say thanks to Mike Runte for all the help while Tiffany was on vacation. I hardly have any problems that need much assistance from my District Manager and I had a couple of big issues that happened and Mike jumped right in there and helped me out with getting my store back up and running and my fountain machine back up.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to share a wonderful story from Store 80, of a CSR that went way above and beyond:

Late one recent evening, Richard Keller wandered into our store saying he was on “E” and needed gas. He prepaid $15 and happened to mention he was lost. Rachel instructed him to pump his gas and come back in for directions. He returned, and asked Rachel if he was still in Indianapolis, that he was trying to get to Illinois so he could get a Christmas tree for his wife. It is important to note Richard has Alzheimer’s Disease.
Rachel listened intently and got the sense that she simply could not allow him to drive away unsupervised. She was able to ask for his I.D. and was at that point able to see an emergency contact number in his wallet of his wife. Rachel contacted his wife who claimed he had been gone for hours and she was gravely concerned. Rachel even went so far to have a couple of local IMPD officers pick up his wife at 30th & Emerson. She handed Rachel money for keeping her husband safe, then Rachel left the money for Dean & Diana to give back to the customer. Richard also never did pump his gas, this money as well was returned.
As it turns out Richard spent several hours driving nearly 300 miles that night, probably never more than 10 miles from his neighborhood, but thanks to our caring employee made it home safely. I would like to issue my first WOW pin to this valued member of Dean’s staff.
