Some of these may be older than a week, but we wanted to make sure we recognized our superstars!
Ron Schaefer, 151st Street- Ron Noticed that the ice boxes outside were not working. He took it upon himself to check the GFI outlet and found that it had been tripped. He made everyone aware of this so that they could be checked every few hours. By Ron going the extra mile and taking the initiative he saved us a lot of money in products. Thanks Ron for going the extra mile!
Matt McIntyre, Fort Benjamin- After the events that happened at West 38th Street in September, Matt stepped up and covered several shifts at the store 70 location to help give the employees there time to mourn and heal. It is amazing that we have team members like Matt that are willing to help out in times of need. Matt we appreciate your courage and assistance during in the time of need. Thank you! You are the definition of a Ricker Superstar!
Ashley Mitchell, 151st Street- Ashley is a cleaning fool, which is a good thing! She never stands around and waits for management to give her something to do. She always finds something to clean. It doesn't matter if it is assigned to her or not. If it's dirty, she will clean it. Thank you Ashley for the pride you take in our stores!
Kyla McGee, Keystone- In December, Kyla caught a fake $100 dollar bill. That bill is now out of circulation! Great Job Kyla!
Willard Chilton, Currently at 71st Street, Then at Plainfield & I-70- From manager Ryan Hamilton: “One day when I was at the bank, a gentleman approached me asking which business around the area I was from. After I told him which Ricker’s I was from he proceeded to tell me about having a problem with his pump the previous week, and about the great job Willard did with helping him. He said that after coming out to the pump and helping him with his transaction that Willard offered him a fountain drink for his trouble. The fact that a customer would come up to me away from the store and rave about the great job an employee did shows me how great an impact Willard had on that customer. Great job Willard!
Dawn Myers, Broadway- Dawn Myers was watching the floor when a young kid came in the store. He was in the night before and had acted suspicious. After noticing his continual suspicious behavior, she kept an eye on him. She observed him on camera stealing a box of sour punch kids. He was trying to put them in his waist band. She made him take them out of his pants and return them. Great job Dawn!
